Doyal is a visual artist who refuses to pick one lane — moving between deep, patient realism and the bright, generous colour of Indian folk art.

Some pieces are drawn out of near-total black: a snake's scales, a painted skull, a face caught in a single light. Others open all the way up — Krishna in acrylic, twin fish in Madhubani, a riverside evening in watercolour. What ties them together is that every work is made entirely by hand, on paper or canvas, one at a time.
